Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for a Neighbourhood Caretaker on behalf of our client based in Birmingham
This is a full-time role on a temporary 3-month contract (Ongoing) at £12.00 / hour
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- The duties reflect a flexible and adaptable neighbourhood caretaking service
- Cleaning of communal areas to multi storey and low – rise flats
- Daily patrols to neighbourhoods to ensure safety of areas along with maintaining a high level of cleanliness
- Monitor and where appropriate, remove / arrange removal of rubbish as soon as possible
- Work with tenant and colleagues to encourage social responsibility of keeping the local environment clean
- Remove unnecessary growth / weeds to pathways
- Report suspected empty properties / monitor security to empty properties
- Record and monitor work completed by other directorates for discussion
- Follow the correct procedure to remove abandoned and nuisance vehicles
- Maintain a visible presence to encourage acceptable standards of behaviour and be easily contactable for residents and colleagues
Person Specification:
- You will be required to help identify your training needs and those of staff you manage / supervise
- Ability to carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks, following appropriate training
- The ability to carry out cleaning tasks indoors and outdoors, including removal of rubbish
- The ability to deliver flexible and effective services on a neighbourhood, to meet customers varied needs
- Possess a valid, current driving license and be able to drive a van
- Excellent inter – personal and communicational skills in both written and verbal forms.
