Supported Housing Worker – Salisbury

RSR Housing are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Salisbury for a Supported Housing Worker.

The purpose of this role is to provide person-centered, high quality support and housing management service to single homeless clients, with low to medium level needs, living in designated properties. This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent contract offering a salary of £24,500 per annuum.

Main Duties:

• Carry out referrals to the service
• Give clients advice, information and provide an enabling service to they can access appropriate services
• Ensure clients are aware of their rights and responsibilities in relation to their licence agreement.
• Maintain client records that are accurate and fully updated using the Julian House client record system.
• Provide effective housing management service for clients and identified properties.
• Responsible for the day-to-day health and safety, and safe running of the service including liaison with external contractors.

Person Specification

• Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or people with complex needs.
• Able to build effective relationships with clients and services in order to develop pathways to enable clients to make positive changes
• Have a valid driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Participation in an on-call rota (approx. 1 in every 4 weeks).
• Knowledge and understanding of Benefits and Housing Benefits system.
• Ability to undertake Needs Assessment and Planning for people with complex social needs which includes taking a lead on multi agency working and partnerships.
