RSR are currently recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for PIP2 Specialist Investigators on a 12 month fixed term contract that will be paying £34,545 per annum. The role will be situated in North Kidlington (Oxfordshire).
Main Duties:
- Co-ordinate and support major/ sensitive/level II investigations and intelligence gathering.
- Assist with investigations in accordance with legislation and good practice, e.g. intelligence collection, preparation and support to the DS during any investigation or intelligence operation.
- Attend briefings to update the investigation and management team, identifying pertinent information and bringing this to the attention of the management team as appropriate, urgently if required.
- Prepare and update investigative and intelligence strategy documents for investigations.
- Collate intelligence to assist in providing a regionally accurate overview of ongoing investigations. Prepare written reports summarising lines of enquiry, intelligence and other complex issues.

- nds across the Force/region working in conjunction with the intelligence unit, and where appropriate, risk assesses the threat.
- Conduct necessary administration including creating and maintaining documentation in support of investigative and intelligence functions.
- Perform transcribing and log keeping duties when appropriate
- Attend Court and give evidence in accordance with legislation.
- Drive a police vehicle safely with consideration for others in accordance with Force policy and in line with the system of car control.
- Build and maintain community relations by providing a service that is responsive to the needs of all communities and by ensuring that those affected by crime receive a fair and non-discriminatory service.
- Provide and promote a high standard of service to internal and external contacts in a professional manner in accordance with Force policy and legislative requirements.
Essential Requirements:
- PIP2 accredited
- Experience of using police databases to research and record information.
- Experience of working in partnership with other departments and agencies
- Experience of gathering critical evidence by interviewing victims, significant witnesses and suspects.
- Experience of working effectively and efficiently as part of a team, and working with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels. Articulate, methodical, conscientious and concise.
- Experienced Intelligence Officer including experience of RIPA applications, preparation of profiles and liaison with other agencies.
- Effective working knowledge and experience of Criminal law and Criminal Justice procedures, Disclosure and CPIA.
- Effective working knowledge and experience of major crime/counter terrorism/level II investigations and incident rooms.
