RSR Justice is a niche recruitment agency, who provide staffing services to the offender management and criminal justice sectors.

Our agency is currently working with an organisation that are helping to hire for a Custody Case Manager that will be providing at HMP Thameside. As a Custody Case Manager you will provide end to end management to sentenced and remand prisoners including sentence planning.

The pay will be initially £23,480 per annum, this will increase by £2,500 to £25,980 after a successful 6 month probation.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Undertake direct work in response to prisoners within Thameside Prison.
  • Assess the risk and needs of prisoners whilst completing OASys within the relevant timeframes with a view to developing sentence plans designed to mitigate identified risks and address relevant needs to ensure an offence free future.
  • Manage a caseload of prisoners with a range of complex needs.
  • Ensure that sentenced prisoners have an agreed sentence plan.
  • Build effective relationships with other agencies within Thameside.
  • Report to OMU Coordinator.
  • Complete a range of Offender Management tasks including and not limited to; Basic Custody Screenings (BCS), Parole Reports (and attending hearings), Recall risk assessments, Bail reports, Initial and Review Categorisation documents.
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate written and I.T. records, information and reports on the work as and when required. Response to prisoners messages through the CMS process.

Person Specification

  • Experience or an understanding of working with vulnerable people
  • Ability to work on an inter-agency basis
  • Knowledge of Criminal Justice System.
  • An understanding of OASys and assessing risk
  • The ability to contribute to ongoing assessments of the support needs of under-supported vulnerable people and to provide appropriate advice and support to them
