The National Crime Agency (NCA), a national law enforcement agency has an opportunity available for Disclosure Officers to work on a 12 month agency assignment based in the Leicester area.

As the Disclosure Officer, you will will conduct and support investigations, providing specialist knowledge to ensure that investigations are fully compliant with the provisions of Criminal Procedure in accordance with disclosure codes of practice, supporting the NCA’s aim of Leading the UK’s fight to cut serious and organised crime. 

This Disclosure Officer position is £16.35 per hour PAYE or £22.06 pe rhour via an Umbrella company.

Responsibilities as the Disclosure Officer include:

• Conduct and Support investigations of Child related offenses
• Provide specialist knowledge to ensure that investigations are fully compliant with the provisions of Criminal Procedure in accordance with disclosure codes of practice
• Conduct statistical analysis to inform management reports
• Ensure the quality, secure handling and dissemination of intelligence, maintaining confidentiality, sensitivity and a duty of care in line with Agency policy
• Carry out effective case management, and create, maintain and update departmental records, including operational or project/programme spreadsheets, case files and monthly reports
• Conduct cross match searches, and analyse results using forensic data
• Build good working relationships with both internal and external partners including police forces
• Conduct relevant health and safety procedures and report issues or identified risks in accordance with health and safety legislation and Agency policy

Experience & Knowledge

• Significant experience in disclosure under CPIA (Criminal Procedure And Investigations Act) 
• Legislative knowledge/experience around CSAE case and a willingness to work with material of this nature
• Recent proven experience in disclosure
• Managing operational risk
• Basic understanding of information management
• Good understanding of UK legislation affecting Agency activity
• Analytical/data interpretation skills
• Experience of analysing information from a wide range of sources
