Are you a strategic technology leader with deep engineering expertise and a passion for secure systems? We’re hiring a Vice President – Software Engineering & Development to lead a team working on identity governance and access management (IAM/IGA) systems that underpin global technology operations.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Kilkenny, offering a hybrid working model and a competitive salary of €107,500. You’ll be part of a team building next-generation cybersecurity solutions for complex enterprise environments.


The Role
As VP of Engineering within the IAM function, you’ll be responsible for leading the technical direction, delivery, and performance of a team of engineers focused on identity governance and SailPoint technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of SailPoint engineers to deliver secure and scalable IAM/IGA solutions.
  • Work with business and technical leads to define requirements and architecture.
  • Drive solution design and hands-on development of security platforms.
  • Oversee coding standards, code review, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and support materials.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in resolving complex, multi-system production issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage technical dependencies and risks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale IAM or IGA programs in complex organisations.
  • Minimum 6–8 years of experience in software development and systems architecture.
  • Strong understanding of IAM principles and governance.
  • Background in cybersecurity, particularly in large financial or regulated environments.

Technical Expertise

  • Proficiency in at least one core programming language (e.g., Java, Python).
  • Experience with IAM/IGA platforms such as SailPoint, ServiceNow, Azure AD, or AWS IAM.
  • Familiarity with QA and testing practices across secure environments.
  • Strong architectural and design experience in large-scale systems.
  • Comfortable working with cloud environments, scripting (UNIX/Windows), and source control tools (e.g. GitHub).
