Recruitment Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Recruitment and Selection Assistant to work on a full-time contract in central Birmingham.

The role is initially for a 6 month period, with a view to extend.

The role is paying £13.28p per hour (PAYE)

The role will be situated within a Police Force, so applicants must be able to obtain national security vetting.

Role overview:

A UK Police Force are looking for a Recruitment Assistant who is enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible to help support the recruitment team with administrative responsibilities.. This is an essential role as part of our recruitment service for the client. The aim is to attract, hire and retain the best employees ensuring that they are able to serve the communities to the highest possible standard. As a Recruitment & Selection Assistant you will support this aim.

You will be assisting our Recruitment officers with essential administrative tasks, ensuring all key information is documented sufficiently and efficiently. You will be a key member of the team helping to achieve all aims set out by the force. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin their career in the Recruitment and HR world.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all data collated is accurate and stored accordingly
  2. Assist with the facilitation of promotion processes including all administration elements of the role
  3. Updating all required systems to provide a clear audit of where the candidate is in the process including but not limited to Fusion HR
  4. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers
  5. Promote the clients values and reputation
  6. Deliver high level of quality of service at all times and against agreed service level agreements, governance, performance targets, audit controls, Force policy and statutory legislation.

Essential Criteria:

Ability to manage an extensive workload
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
High accuracy levels in work with clear attention to detail
Experience of using Microsoft applications

Desirable Criteria:

Experience working in a recruitment or business support setting
Experience using an Applicant Tracking System
Proven experience in a position within a fast-paced high-volume environment
Previous experience working within an administrative post
