Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA)

Salary: £25,282.44 – £28,861.62 (dependent upon qualifications and experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday 9am–5pm
Service Area: Community Domestic Abuse Support Service
Responsible to: Regional Domestic Abuse Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to provide high-quality frontline support to individuals at high risk of domestic abuse.
As an IDVA, you will deliver proactive, short- to medium-term crisis intervention and advocacy to increase the safety of victims and their children. You will work within a multi-agency framework, ensuring survivors’ voices are heard and their rights upheld, including representation at Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC).
This is a challenging but highly rewarding role requiring compassion, resilience, strong risk assessment skills, and the ability to manage a demanding caseload while maintaining a trauma-informed, client-centred approach.
About the Service
The Community Domestic Abuse Support Service provides specialist support to victims of domestic abuse across Sandwell, Walsall and Dudley. Working collaboratively with statutory and voluntary sector partners, the service delivers holistic, tailored support to help survivors increase safety, reduce risk and rebuild their lives.
