HR Assistant

Red Snapper Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Tredegar for a HR Assistant.

This is a part time (3 days per week), permanent position, and offers a salary of up to £20,000.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Provide advice and support to managers for the whole employee lifecycle from recruitment, employee relations, reward, succession planning and end
  • Develop and implement HR projects as required
  • Manage the annual performance management framework
  • Conduct benefit reviews and skills gaps analysis/matrix
  • Act as HR Administrator for internal HR/Payroll system (update starters, leavers, payroll changes, annual leave, training etc).
  • Ensure that the business is up-to-date and fully compliant with employment legislation
  • Regularly review & update employee policies & processes and ensure consistency of application
  • Responsible for Health and Safety of employees in the offices and field
  • Continuously assess and develop initiatives to improve employee engagement and health and wellbeing within the business
  • Ensure all employees are competent in the role and appropriate training is provided
  • Support the Chief Compliance Officer at all times

Person Specification

  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills      
  • Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy    
  • Proactive, with the ability to generate ideas
  • Proven HR generalist experience
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment is desirable
  • Solution-oriented pragmatic approach
  • Compliance knowledge or experience
  • Strong time management and organisational skills         
  • Proficiency in MS Office
