Working in partnership with FACT, RSR designed a bespoke assessment day consisting of a pre-assessment day personality test, an in house case study test, and competency based interviews.
Working at pace the recruitment team quickly arranged the assessment day to attract a number of researchers with level 5 proficiencies in Arabic, Farsi and Mandarin.

Assessment day at RSG London Offices
Stage one – Test Case
22 applicants attended on the day and completed the test case. The applicants were required to write a comprehensive summary of an example compliance case, highlighting the key facts from the document that were relevant to the business area. The purpose of the test was to assess the applicants’ ability to take in information and present back their summaries in a clear and concise format.
(The test was then marked by the interview panel and all successful applicants moved to stage 2 of the process)
Stage Two – The interview
The 14 applicants who passed the initial test moved on to the Competency Based Interview conducted by a member of the FACT team. The interview panel was formed of HR representatives and a line manager from FACT.
Stage three – Short list
Following the interviews, applicants with the highest score overall were offered a position. 10 candidates secured a researcher role based in FACT’s due diligence team.
All applicants that attended on the day were provided a development report from the OPQ testing, giving them information about their strengths and weaknesses on the competencies important for success in a researcher position. The report also provided applicants valuable on the job tips and suggestions to help them excel in the workplace.
By managing the scheduling and logistics of the assessment day, it allowed FACT to take the time to focus on the interview and selection of their specialist team of researchers and the result was 9 new starters in FACT’s due diligence team.
